If you are a complete beginner (you can’t ask/answer questions, you can’t make simple sentences) pick an A1.101.0 class!
If you know some French, took classes years ago and/or forgot… please take a placement test before picking a class.
if you wish to also attend events at the Grosse Pointe branch, buy first a membership from the Alliance de Grosse Pointe there before buying a class. You will then get a code you can use to register for a group class with the Alliance française de Detroit without paying another membership.
If you buy a class directly from Alliance française Detroit, the membership will be for that Alliance only and not for the Grosse Pointe Alliance.

*Class Prices are based on 3 students minimum. Please note that there is an additional one time $25 fee for first time registration and, membership to either Alliance Française de Detroit OR Alliance Française de Grosse Pointe is a requirement.
Members of Alliance Française de Grosse Pointe will receive yearly a special code from their chapter to register without paying an extra membership.
Books are not included in the tuition cost. Once registered please email us at afd@afdetroit.org to let us know if you want your books mailed or want to pick them up ($6.50 shipping fee)

The Alliance Francaise de Detroit offers classes for adults, youths and professionals both online and at their offices in Bingham Farms. Classes range from beginners (A1) to Advanced (B2) and range from grammar to conversation. The Pre-Winter Session runs from December 1 to January 17. Members of Alliance Française de Grosse Pointe will receive a yearly special code from their chapter to register without paying an extra membership.
